King Edward's School BATH

Netball at King Edward’s is available to all girls, with many year groups offering teams from A to C level and with up to six teams from Years 11 to 13. There is a real pride and passion to perform, but alongside this there is a determination to train hard, to work as a team and to give it your best. It has been an exciting journey to develop KES Netball at a local, regional and national level, to the extent that King Edward's is now recognised as one of the strongest netball schools in the country.

During the 2015-16 season, we were county champions at U16 and U19 level and were proud to have all three age groups represented at the Regional Schools Competition (U14, 16, U19).  In the last nine netball seasons 15 teams qualified  for the regional round of the competition, demonstrating the depth of talent throughout the School.

We have strong links with Team Bath Netball, from performance to participation level, and we sponsor Team Bath Super League matches.  The School is also noted for its outreach programme with local primary schools, organising weekly coaching sessions and one off skill days.

Within school, the pupils benefit from King Edward’s hosting U11, U12, U13 and U16 tournaments, alongside an U19 pre-season tournament for local schools, with elite players providing technical and tactical support. An annual highlight continues to be our Mothers’ and Daughters’ Tournament that has been running for ten years and sees over 100 girls and their mothers participating.
