As well as independent bus services to the School, there is a KES shuttle bus that collects pupils from Bath Spa railway station, departing at 8.25 am from Manvers Street, opposite the station. This is the latest departure time to ensure that pupils will be at School in good time for morning registration.
Breakfast is available in the Willett Hall Dining Room between 8.00 and 8.30 am each morning for pupils who arrive on earlier buses or trains and decide to make their own way to School, either by walking, catching the orange bus to the end of Cleveland Walk, or catching one of the Warminster Road buses to the bottom of North Road.
The afternoon KES station shuttle bus leaves from outside the Rutherford Sports Centre at 4.05pm prompt, in order to maximise the number of potential links with trains and bus services from the centre of Bath.
There is a flexible pricing arrangement for the shuttle bus, depending on the length of the term. As an example, pricing for the longer Autumn Term 2015/16 are as follows:
Autumn Term return journey pass: £110
Autumn Term morning pass: £65
Autumn Term afternoon pass: £65
book of 10 single journey tickets: £15
single journey tickets: £1.50 each
Passes and tickets are available from Mrs Dulieu in the Stewart Building (behind Nethersole House). Term passes can be ordered by completing this form and emailing Mrs Dulieu: N.Dulieu@kesbath.com before the start of term (please include the full name(s) of your child/children, their Form(s), and tick the required bus pass/ticket required). Tickets must be purchased in advance by cheque (made payable to King Edward’s School, Bath). The KES station shuttle bus operates on a ticket only basis, so please remind your children that they should not make any cash payments to the driver.
New pupils to the School are advised to ask their Tutor or Head of Year/Sector to help them visit Mrs Dulieu during the new pupil induction morning to collect or purchase passes or tickets.
Summer Term passes for existing pupils will remain valid until the end of Week 1 in the Autumn Term in order to allow pupils time to visit Mrs Dulieu in the Stewart Building to arrange their new passes. Books of tickets from the Summer Term remain valid for the Autumn Term.
