U11a rugby team celebrate winning end to their Junior School Rugby days

12 December 2017

As they come to the end of their Junior School rugby days, the U11A rugby team are celebrating a remarkable unbeaten run which goes back over two years.

During that time, the A team have played a fantastic brand of attacking running rugby whilst also being committed and resolute in defence.  This Autumn Year 6 rugby players enjoyed a three-day Devon tour where the one of the opposing teams was St Peter’s Prep (Exmouth) who also hadn’t lost a match for several years. An epic game followed with KES coming from behind to win by a single try.

In total the KES U11A team has played 12 different schools including The Grange (Monmouth), Kingswood, Exeter, Wellington, BGS, Colston’s, The Cathedral (Cardiff), Paragon, Monkton, Clifton College and QEH.

Well done boys, a really impressive effort.  We look forward to hearing news of your rugby endeavours in the Senior School.
