Year 4 enjoyed a wonderful day at Folly Farm yesterday, as they went back in time to understand more about life in Saxon times.

Folly Farm, near Bristol, is located in a 250-acre nature reserve with wildflower meadows and ancient woodlands.  Whilst there, the children explored the woodland, finding out about coppicing and self-sufficiency, learnt how to make willow hurdles, helped make some felt, listened to Saxon tales, analysed the Saxon alphabet and leant the art of weaving.

What a jam-packed day of history!
