Pampering Evening
|
The Pampering Evening held at the Junior School in October was a great success.
The many who attended enjoyed make overs and sample sessions of reflexology, massage, reiki and other treatments. There was pink champagne at the bar and a wonderful range of tempting stalls selling jewellery, candles, clothes, cosmetics and crafts. The stall holders all offered a raffle prize too which added to the excitement.
The whole evening was hugely enjoyable and due to popular demand the Ladies' Committee will definitely be running another anytime soon!

Aims of the Ladies Committee
|
The Ladies’ Committee comprises teachers and mums of children from the pre- prep, junior and senior schools. We run fund raising events throughout the school year, the profits from which go to provide the ‘icing on the cake’ for our children. Once a year, each department from the school is invited to bid for a share of our funds and the money is allocated to allow as many of the pupils as possible to receive the maximum benefit. Recent allocations include football strips, rugby sub suits, ICT equipment and our largest project to date - an outdoor play trail, which is planned for the junior school. We also run two nearly new uniform sales each term, which during the winter also comprise second hand ski wear.
Our events are of course more than just fund raisers. They include Christmas and summer fairs, a curry and quiz night and a spring plant sale, all of which offer parents the chance to relax and socialise outside the usual rush and turmoil of the school day! We also organise a welcome drinks evening for new parents each September, which is held at our sports pavilion in Bathampton, and is a great opportunity to come along and meet members of the Fathers’ and Ladies’ Committees as well as other new KES parents.
We are always on the look out for new members. If you would like to join us, or would simply be able to lend a hand at one of our events, we would love to hear from you.

Nearly New Uniform Sales are a service, under the auspices of the Ladies Committee, to KES parents to recycle out-grown uniform of good quality, whilst raising money for the School.
