Congratulations you are now Guinness World Record Holders
|
|
Children at King Edward’s Pre-Prep and Nursery succeeded in becoming part of the Guinness Book of Records on Friday 7th March when they took part in a nationwide attempt to smash the Guinness World Record for the most people reading a piece of poetry aloud at one time.
The event was part of a charity fundraising initiative by Great Ormond Street Hospital’s Children’s Charity’s Peter Pan Week in partnership with Oxford University Press.
Peter Pan Week is a fun, creative and educational way for young children to learn all about literature, whilst helping children with some of the rarest and most complex illnesses, and going down in history by attempting a Guinness World Record.

New Head at King Edward's Pre-Prep
|
The Board of Governors of King Edward's School, Bath is delighted to announce the appointment of Jayne Gilbert to become Head of the Pre Prep & Nursery School from the 1 September 2008.
Jayne is currently the Deputy Head of Dunannie, Bedales' Pre Prep School having served in that capacity since 2001. Prior to that she taught for 10 years at St. Christopher's British International Primary School, Penang, West Malaysia.

Explorer Dome visits the Pre-Prep and Nursery
|
Pupils from King Edward’s Pre-Prep and Nursery School enjoyed a visit from the Explorer Dome as part of Science Curriculum Day.
Inside the Explorer Dome children found out about many different sources of light; from the sun, the moon and the stars, to light bulbs and electricity, cats eyes and rainbows. They also learnt how shadows are created, how to make shadow animals and how light can be mixed to create different colours.

Children from the Pre-Prep went to choose their own Christmas tree
|
Children from the Pre-Prep had a delightful afternoon hunting for the perfect Christmas tree for School. They also found out about how the trees are grown and the different types of tree available.

Magic at Christmas Play 13th - 14th December
|
Everyone is looking forward to this year's Christmas production which is called Magic at Christmas which starts on Thursday 13th - Friday 14th December. The play has been written by Sheila Davies and will be performed by the Pre-Prep children and accompanied by musicians from King Edward's Senior School.
