We make sure all uniform is current, in good condition and clean. Generally it is half the John Lewis ‘New’ price. At the recent Parents’ Committee meeting it was decided that from 1st January 2012 brand new items of uniform, which are in their packet or have the original label on, will be sold at 75% of the John Lewis ‘New’ price.  Uniform which now has limited use, e.g. the old style rugby shirts and blue games skirts will be sold at 25% of the John Lewis ‘New Price’. All items are bought ‘as seen’.

If you can't see what you require please ask one of the helpers. It is not possible to display all the stock there is available.

Would you like to recycle your uniform?
If you have unwanted items from the list above please send them in to us.

*  All items must be current uniform, clean and in good condition.
*  We will price all items before the sale to ensure we have standardised pricing system (normally half the John Lewis ‘New’).
*  If we consider the quality to be unacceptable e.g. badly marked, stained, ripped or frayed,  we will remove the item from the sale, and similarly if it has been unsold for approximately 3 - 4 years.  In these cases we pass on to charity or to a clothing bank. We are sorry we cannot notify all vendors of every item that has been removed.

How should it be labelled?
Please use safety pins to attach labels (not dress pins or sellotape)

Size of Label should be a minimum 6x6cm; larger fine but please not smaller.
Paper labels are best as card is very difficult to pin!
To Include:  Item name and Size
Your (parent not pupil) name and address including postcode and telephone no.

Collection of items for the sales
2 Collection boxes (marked ‘Nearly New”) are placed in school during the week before each sale. (In the porch of the Junior School and near the lost property cupboard in the Senior School - near the Wroughton Theatre). These are normally emptied daily by 4.30pm

Parents can leave uniform for sale at Reception in the Pre Prep School.  It will then be transported every fortnight to R11 in the Senior School.

Items can also be delivered to R11 between 3.30pm – 4.30pm every Friday afternoon.

Payment to you
We collect and collate all the labels from the items sold from all sales throughout the academic year, and keep accounts of each sale. We will send you a cheque for 50% of your total sales value at the end of the school year, during the summer holidays.

The remaining 50% contributes to the annual fund raised by the Parents’ Committee which is used wisely to pay for terrific 'extras' for the children at KES.

Donations
You may of course donate items, in which case, thank you so much for your generosity. 100% of the sale of these items is retained for the Parents’ Committee charity school fund.

We are aware some parents can’t make the sale dates or may indeed need replacement uniform urgently. Do let us know, Katherine or Pam can meet you at our new ‘shop’ at a mutually agreeable time to address all emergencies!

Helpers always welcome
And finally…would you like to help at one of our sales?  We rely on the generosity of volunteer helpers who give just 2 hours of their time at one or more of the sales. If you can spare this, and would enjoy the friendly chat and banter as we set up, sell and clear away, we would love to hear from you. Thank you.

Year 6 Victorian Murder Mystery Tues 7 Feb

The Victorian Murder Mystery event is one of the most enjoyable parts of the Year 6 Award Scheme.

A murder takes place at the Junior School and the pupils have to investigate the crime using evidence they find at the crime scene, by interviewing all those connected with the victim and meticulous sifting through all the witness statements.

Good luck to everyone taking part.
