A wave of success for kes swimmers
KES swimmers were in action this weekend, at two major swim events.
Ben, from the Senior School, won an incredible FIVE gold medals at the British Junior Para-Swimming Championships in Coventry.
A member of Bath Dolphin Swimming Club and the GB Deaf Swimming Club, Ben won gold medals in the Boys' 12-13 S15 category for 50m and 100m freestyle, 100m breaststroke, 100m backstroke and the 100m individual medley, achieving four personal bests along the way.
Organised by Activity Alliance in partnership with Swim England, the event aims to increase participation and talent development opportunities for young disabled swimmers.
Meanwhile, our Junior School team attended the IAPS Swimming Finals at the London Aquatics Centre. The team came first in their heat in the Boys U10 4 x 25 Medley, and then 9th overall, taking 8 seconds off their qualifying time. Chase also finished 13th in the U10 Breaststroke, improving on his qualifying time by 2 seconds.
