VOLUNTEER YOUR HELP FOR THE SCHOOL'S CAREERS PROGRAMME

The School has a thriving Careers Programme, with a variety of opportunities for OEs to contribute both HE and careers advice to current pupils through talks, workshops, the Year 12 Mentoring event and the biennial Careers Convention, in addition to providing work experience placements.

Higher Education Or Training Advice

I could offer help with interview preparation for pupils applying to university (eg Oxbridge or subject specific interviews such as medicine)*

I left KES in the last five years and can help advise Sixth Form pupils about my experiences of studying for a degree, undertaking an apprenticeship or taking a gap year *

Giving A Careers Talk

I could give a talk to pupils about my career or area of employment expertise and provide details below.*

Year 12 Mentoring Event

I could provide mentoring advice for small groups of pupils at the Year 12 Mentoring event about my area of work or occupation. This annual after-school event takes place in the early part of the Spring Term.*

Biennial Careers Convention

I could attend the next Careers Convention, to offer advice to small groups of pupils, and those attending with their parents. This biennial after-school event for pupils in Years 10-13 will next be held in the early part of the Summer Term in 2026.*

Broadening Curious Minds

I could run a short lunchtime masterclass or an in-depth dive into a specific topic of interest for pupils in Years 7-11.*

Work Experience Placements

I, or my organisation, could offer a work experience placement/s to Year 12 pupils. (Work experience week is usually the penultimate week of the Summer Term (late June/early July), with additional opportunities during the Easter or Summer holidays.)*
