Our Location

Location of KES BathThe Junior School enjoys superb, dedicated facilities in its own purpose-built and award-winning accommodation in an enviable location on the southern slopes of the city.

The beautiful setting is enhanced by the National Trust land that borders the School, and we are within easy walking distance of Bath’s World Heritage city centre.

The Junior School is situated on the same campus as the Senior School and benefits from its superb facilities, as well as a number of its wonderful teachers in specific subject areas. Each year, the vast majority of our pupils move up to the Senior School to continue their KES journey and to make the most of the amazing opportunities that await them there.

We believe that learning should be exciting, challenging and fun.  Every day at King Edward’s Junior School brings new adventures in learning and provides our children with opportunities to push their boundaries. Whether in the fast-paced lessons, the stimulating trips and visits or the broad and varied co-curricular activities, our pupils will find plenty to suit their unique interests whilst developing the confidence to take the plunge into the new and unfamiliar.

“Learning is always fun and entertaining. It engages our brains.”

Thriving and Flourishing

Pupils in the Junior School learn so much more in their time with us than simply what they are taught in their lessons; they learn to be curious, adventurous and self-reliant, to work successfully as individuals and as part of a team, and to develop skills for today which will also prepare them for the world tomorrow.

Spotlight on the Peer Mentoring Programme at KES

The Peer Mentoring Programme at KES aims to forge connections across year groups and to foster a sense of community at King Edward’s. We also understand that pupils often feel more able to chat freely with those of a similar age.
