 yEAR 12 cAREERS MENTORING EVENT

The Student Careers team has planned an exciting calendar of Futures events this term for our Year 12 pupils as the latter prepare for life beyond KES.

In February, our Futures Evening will launch this year’s Higher Education programme with expert talks on UCAS, competitive applications, Degree Apprenticeships, student finance and more in support of our pupils as they begin shaping their post‑18 pathways.

But before that, we are delighted to be welcoming over 40 external professionals to KES later this month (29th January) for our Mentoring Evening.

Through a series of mini workshops, Q&As and round-table discussions, Year 12 pupils will hear real career journeys and gain insight straight from the experts across an incredible range of sectors, including:

Accountancy * Advertising * Architecture * Biotechnology * Branding * Civil Service * Cyber Security * Engineering * Environment * Estate Facilities * Financial Services (Fund Management, Banking & Trading) * Healthcare * Journalism * Law * Management Consultancy * Marketing and Communications * Medicine * Pharmaceuticals * Public Affairs * Research & Development * Sales * Software Development * TV Production.

With such an impressive range of expertise in the room, it promises to be an informative and unmissable event for our pupils.

Many thanks to our KES Careers team, led by Mrs Rees-Roberts for curating such an exceptional line up, and to all our professionals from the KES community giving so generously of their time and expertise.
