Academic Scholarships and Special Talent Awards are available to pupils entering Year 7.
Special Talent Awards may be offered to children who demonstrate outstanding talent in Art, Drama, Music or Sport. The Award attract a fee remission of 5%. To view the Special Talent Award leaflet, please click on the button below:
If you would like apply for an Award, you will need to complete an Online Application Form, followed by a secondary Online Special Talent Form. You will also need to upload one or more written endorsements from your child's current head teacher, tutor or coach confirming their abilities and standards. Both forms must be submitted by Monday 27 November, 2023. Unfortunately, we cannot consider applications received after the closing date. All pupils applying for a Special Talent Award will be invited for interview and assessment during the weeks commencing 8 and 15 January, 2024.
A limited number of Academic Scholarships will be awarded to those pupils who excel in the main Year 7 Entrance Examinations in January. Families do not need to apply for these. Academic Scholarships attract a fee remission of 10%.
Both Academic Scholarships and Special Talent Awards are payable each year up to the end of GCSEs. A pupil may hold both an Academic Scholarship and a Special Talent Award and may also apply for bursary support.
Awards made under the Special Talent and Scholarship programmes are of a relatively small value. The School focuses its financial support on families through its means-tested bursary programme, in line with its ethos and heritage.
