Camp Leader - KES Adventures
1 Year Fixed-Term
45 hours per week, 18 weeks per year (School holiday plus 2 weeks)
Actual Annual Salary £14,208 to £15,133 including holiday pay

KES Adventures is a newly established holiday camp provider based at King Edward’s School, Bath. We offer multi-activity programmes for children aged 5–12, designed to inspire creativity, confidence, and fun. Our camps run during all UK school holidays and include a wide range of activities from arts and crafts to sports, STEM, and outdoor adventures.
As the holiday camps expand, we are looking for a passionate and experienced Camp Leader to oversee the planning, setup, and delivery of our holiday camps. You will lead a team of Activity Leaders, ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children, and create a fun, structured, and inclusive environment. You will work closely with the Commercial Manager to support camp operations, manage budgets, assist with the recruitment of your team, and ensure a high-quality experience for children and families.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate a team of Activity Leaders
- Plan and deliver a variety of engaging activities
- Conduct staff inductions and training
- Assist with recruitment and staff management
- Manage camp logistics, rotas, and daily operations
- Ensure child safety, wellbeing, and inclusion
- Liaise with parents and manage administrative tasks
Requirements
Essential:
- Experience in childcare, teaching, coaching, or camp management
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- High level of safeguarding awareness
- Ability to work independently and make informed decisions
- Energetic, enthusiastic, and passionate about working with children
Desirable:
- Paediatric First Aid trained (or willing to train)
- Level 3 childcare qualification or PGCE
- Knowledge of multi-activity programming and camp operations

Flexibility
While the role is designed to cover all UK school holidays and setup periods (16 weeks annually), we are open to flexible arrangements. Salary will be adjusted accordingly. Additional Camp Leaders may be appointed to support busy periods.
