'TRANSFORMING LIVES THROUGH EDUCATION' BURSARY CAMPAIGN LAUNCH EVENT in london
wednesday 20th May 2026 | 6.30PM-8.30PM
- LOCATION: Churchill Room, House of Commons, London, SW1A 0AA
Old Edwardian, The Rt Hon John Glen MP, is pleased to invite you, on behalf of King Edward’s School, to the Transforming Lives Through Education Campaign Launch at the House of Commons. This is the final event in our series introducing this ambitious bursary fundraising initiative. The evening will also mark the formal launch of the 1552 Foundation, the School’s charitable foundation and the central home for all philanthropic fundraising at KES.
The campaign seeks to broaden access to a KES education by significantly expanding the School’s means‑tested bursary provision. During the evening, the Headmaster will outline the strategic aims of the campaign, which aspires to secure an additional £500,000 per year by 2030 to enable more talented young people from lower‑income families to join and thrive within our School community. Guests will also hear reflections on the transformative impact of bursary support and the crucial role philanthropy plays in advancing educational opportunity.
This is a complimentary event, with drinks and canapés served throughout the evening.
This event is generously supported by Old Edwardian and Campaign Donor, the Rt Hon John Glen MP. We are also grateful to our sponsors, QCC Global and M.J. Church, for their support of the campaign.
