Success in the Language Olympiad

The Modern Foreign Languages department is very proud of the 10 pupils in Year 12 who recently took part in the Advanced Level of the UK Linguistics Olympiad via the Language Ambassador Club.  This challenging competition involves solving logic puzzles that unravel the intricacies of unfamiliar languages.

Edie, Hannah, Luis, Aryan, Tallulah, Luana, Harriet, Zoya, Meg and Ava have enjoyed spotting the patterns in unfamiliar languages and making deductions. They all received a certificate of participation, but special mention goes to Zoya for her Silver Award and to Edie and Meg for their Bronze Awards.  Finally, a huge well done goes to Hannah, who competed in Round 2 on the 13th March, thanks to her Gold medal.  We are keeping our fingers crossed whilst we wait to hear about the results.
